What to Look for in a Party House
When it comes to finding the right venue for your special occasion there are few things to look out for in a party house. Bringing family and friends together for a weekend or weekday celebration means finding accommodation that suits everyone as well as giving you options to lay on activities as well as catering for meals during your stay.
Whether you’re trying to arrange a hen party, celebrate a birthday or mark a significant anniversary your needs will be different for each occasion. However, the one common benefit of using a big party house for your celebration is that there is no worrying about booking hotel rooms that can be spread out across a town or city and wasting time meeting up with each other somewhere. Because you’re all in one place, you get to spend more time together!
Once the party is over you might want to walk off the night before and there are plenty of places right outside the front door of our houses where you can go for a walk or a run.
If you or your guests have pets, don’t worry about leaving them out of the celebration and having them looked after elsewhere with a dog-sitter or kennel. Our houses are pet friendly and we welcome up to 3 dogs with no issue, saving you a bit of money!
Why Choose a Big Party House?
Our houses can sleep parties of between 12 and 26 people which means you and your guests don’t have to be in a rush to vacate your party venue at the end of the night. Instead, you can all arrive after check-in time and start your celebration straight away!
We insist on the principle that everyone should be able to eat together too, so each of our houses has at least one dining room where everyone can sit together. The table arrangements are usually flexible, so that you can set them up in the way that you prefer.
As our holidays are self-catering we ensure that there are plenty of facilities in our kitchens to allow you to cook for the whole of your party. If you prefer to arrange for catering for one night or the whole of your stay, we can put you in touch with local suppliers who will be able to meet your requirements.
Below are some of the more popular uses for a party house, but we also have more party ideas that may interest you.
Hen Party Houses
One of the most common celebrations we have are for hen parties. We are proud of some of the feedback we get from guests who have held their hen parties at our houses. The oversized sitting rooms, the hot tubs and the large gardens are often mentioned as features which have enhanced the enjoyment of their stay.
Having your hen party in one of our houses gives you the freedom to decorate beforehand if you’re having a theme or we can help you arrange for professionals to provide a pamper session or any other service you might want to make your party a success.
Of course some of our houses are located within small villages, so loud, all-night parties are a no-go there. However, the other houses are so removed from the nearest neighbour that there won’t be any issues with this. If you’re not sure which house might suit your party, just ask us and we’ll let you know!
Birthday Party Venues
Many people find the best birthday party idea to mark a milestone is to rent a house for a get-together. This is especially meaningful if family and friends have moved away and it is an opportunity for everyone to catch up.
Our houses have plenty of private parking, so guests don’t need to worry about finding a spot when they arrive. The bedrooms in each house allow for a variety of sharing options so families can stay together or the kids can all go in one room. Check out the floorplan for the house you’re interested in to help you plan your sleeping arrangements and we’re happy to answer any questions you have regarding specific requirements.
Within a short walk or drive there are also a number of pubs and even some Michelin star restaurants if you prefer to go out for a meal one night.

Occasions such as a 10th, 30th or even 60th wedding anniversary are often times when everyone wants to celebrate a lasting relationship. Trying to bring so many people together though can be an issue. Our large houses can be both accommodation and venue, causing one less headache when organising an anniversary party.
Set in some idyllic and picturesque locations they are places designed to make memories and are the perfect backdrop for photographic mementos. If you would like to capture your special moments with a series of photos we can arrange for a professional photographer to come along and provide you with a lasting keepsake as part of the celebrations of the wedding anniversary.
How Do I Book My Party House?
First we recommend that you view the properties with an eye on your specific requirements, then you can check whether the house is available. Some dates are naturally more popular than others such as Christmas and the summer holidays, but if you’re willing to be flexible on when your dates, you might just find a bargain by perhaps choosing a midweek break if the weekend is fully booked. Once you’ve found your preferred date head to our price list to find out how much it costs. Generally most short breaks cost less than £100 per head for a party of 20.
