Holly Tree House
An ideal pet-friendly cottage for large group holidays, Holly Tree House provides accommodation in picturesque Symonds Yat, offering an idyllic retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
What to expect from Holly Tree House
Full of character, on the edge of the woods at the end of a private lane this beautiful three storey Victorian house nestles in the heart of the Wye Valley with stunning views over the wonderful River Wye and up to famous Yat Rock. This holiday home sleeps 12 – 22 people in 9 bedrooms. The large dining room comfortably seats everyone round one table.
It combines genuine peace and quiet (apart from the sound of the river) and absolutely no traffic, with loads to do nearby. It’s comfortable, totally safe for children and pets, has open fires, stunning views and a hot tub. It’s little wonder our guests return time and again. Well behaved pets welcome.
Things to do
There are 3 excellent pub/restaurants within walking distance (plus one that’s accessed by river ferry, see map below). If you like the outdoors then, there’s plenty of activity nearby such as canoe hire, a hedge puzzle, and activity centre. Not to mention being on the doorstep of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley where there are plenty of places to explore both on river and off. If you’re bringing a pet, there are lots of walks nearby but the house is safe enough so that if you need to leave them for a time, whilst you pursue other activities then you can do so with an easy mind.

More about Symonds Yat
The village of Symonds Yat can be traced back to at least the 16th century, with a number of buildings still present that date back to that period. It was a place of importance in the area due to it’s positioning making it a popular crossing point of the River Wye, and the tradition of using hand ferries remains.
In recent years its timeless nature has meant it has become a popular tourist destination, with kayaking and canoeing down the local rapids rising in popularity among visitors.
