Upcoming local events in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean
Peppa Pig is returning to Dean Forest Railway.
Take a steam train through the Forest of Dean and meet Peppa Pig at Parkend Station (only accessible via train for this event). There will be plenty of activities during the day too including bouncy castles, face painting and magic shows.
The event takes place at Norchard Station which opens at 9.30am and closes at 4.30pm

A charitable event featuring the talents of James Phelan, the nephew of the late Paul Daniels at the Hillside Brewery, Forest of Dean.
Noted as one of the best young magicians in the UK, this evening of entertainment continues the tradition of magic with a sense of humour whilst also offering you the chance to support charity through a raffle and auction.
There will also be a three-course meal. Dress code is smart casual.

A weekend of study sessions, performances, discussions and Q & A’s based around Mendelssohn’s Two Piano Trios.
Discover the inner workings of these famous piano trios and get involved with the musicians performing them.
Led by Wye Valley Chamber Music’s Daniel Tong (Piano) and accompanied by Catherine Manson (Violin) and Robin Michael (Cello) the weekend includes session, garden visit and dinner on Saturday, study sessions, lunch and final concert on Sunday.

The Wye Valley River Festival happens every two years and celebrates nature, culture, landscape and life along the River Wye.
Through a packed programme of events the festival works it’s way down the River Wye over the course of a couple of weeks. This year’s theme is ‘Trees’.
The previous festival featured art, music, story walks, theatre performances, a carnival and more!

Walk the Wye is a fundraising walk in support of Breast Cancer Research organised by Monmouth Rotary Club.
With 7 different routes starting from around the Wye Valley, walkers of different abilities can choose from a short flat route or an increasingly challenging one.
Money raised will go to the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff and selection of other charitable causes in Monmouth, Chepstow and Ross-on-Wye.
Walkers meet on the day at Monmouth Showground and free buses will take you to the start of your chosen walk.

Monmouthshire Food Festival takes place again at Caldicot Castle.
Showcasing the best culinary delights from Monmouthshire and beyond there are ranging of activities that allow you to sample food produced in the area and learn from those who make it.

Billed as the Forest of Dean’s best kept secret, The Coleford Music Festival is held outdoors in Coleford town centre every summer.
With an eclectic mix of music, art and culture and put together by the local community, all are welcome to come and enjoy everything on offer including;

Monmouth Music Festival returns for 2018 with more great music and events over 9 days and venues throughout Monmouth.
This FREE festival showcases the best amateur talent from many music genres as well putting on various activities through its Fringe Festival, Family Fun Day and Busking Festival.
