We had Sunday lunch for 14 of us at the Potting Shed
Which was excellent
Canoeing for the whole family on the river 10 mins walk away was great fun
The house was perfect for our family get together with all the facilities you could ask for and plenty of rooms/bathrooms/space to cater for the 14 people from 8 to 87 years old.
The swimming pool area was a particularly highlight helped by the heatwave conditions

Woods of Whitchurch, local cafe, was excellent, coffee was great and a good choice of produce in the shop as well
Very close to the River Wye, with some lovely walks, opportunities to hire SUPs and canoes and great riverside pubs
The house was amazing! We visited during the heat wave and the pool, outside seating and eating areas, barbeques and lawn area were great for our family gathering (there were 12 of us). It was also the Football World Cup when we were there and the games room with large TV was great!

Cafe a 50 metres away was great. They sold us two big deserts which were delicious. We had a good and very cheap Indian meal at Paddocks Hotel just accross the A40.
We enjoyed climbing Symmonds Yat and the view from the top although the approach road was narrow. The Butterfly Zoo nearby in the village was lovely. Monmouth had an unusual bridge ( medieval?) anf was a small pretty town.

The whole family really loved the house and enjoyed a short walk along the river on Saturday afternoon.
This is the first party house we have booked together for an event but it now won’t be the last.

Mum’s 80th birthday weekend 🎉
We had a smashing weekend in this very comfortable, well-equipped home. The younger members of the party especially loved the games room and swimming pool—hours of fun were had by all! A great location, with plenty to see and do in the immediate area. We can highly recommend The Potting Shed for a delicious meal and Yofi for a fantastic choice of local beers 🍻 All 19 of us fitted in extremely well, which made the celebration even more special. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect place for a family get together
Thank you! We had a couple of nights at Brookside with the whole family. From the minute we arrived it just felt like home. The log burner was wonderful, the games room great fun and the massive table meant we could all sit together. A rare find somewhere big enough for our extended family to meet up. We’ll definitely be back… next time when it’s warm enough to get in the pool.

We stayed at Brookside to take a break from city and enjoy the beautiful countryside in Ross-on-Wye. The house is wonderfully equipped and suitable for large families. From the extremely comfortable beds to the entertaining games room, this house has it all and lacked nothing. Overall, we had an amazing time at Brookside and definitely recommend it to anyone looking to escape the city and relax.

The house was fantastic and just what we needed for a lovely family Christmas getaway. It was comfortable throughout, with a huge dining table and kitchen that was really welll equipped, so making meals - including Christmas - dinner for 16 people was no problem at all.Lots of great walks around the local area, around the river at Symonds Yat and nearby woods. We also went to the panto at the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury, which was good fun.
