House was large enough for people to have some alone time, hot tub was a big hit.
So much history for the house. Wonderful stay

Recommends: We went down to Monmouth on Sunday and enjoyed the easy access to the river with the teens' paddle boards, and others' walked into town. We also enjoyed an evening walk on Blorens - flat easy walk from Fox Hunter carpark which was easy to drive up to (good roads) and beautiful views for miles and miles. We also enjoyed walking from Llanthony Priory - up to Offa Dyke path with views of both England and Wales along the top.
Others enjoyed visiting castles and the Linda Vista Gardens park in Abergavenny next to Byefield Lane Car park
A fantastic house for our recent family get together for my mum’s 70th. Everyone loved the characteristics of the place and the history. Easily accommodated 18 people with a dinning table to accommodate us all, something my mum particularly liked and made for some great photos. The house has everything and more you could need. The hot tub, sauna, snooker table and wonderful gardens were an added bonus and enhanced our stay. Just a short walk away and your in the town of Abergavenny, with its lively pubs, big shout out to the Kings Arms for accommodating 18 people and serving up such amazing food.
As you can tell, we all had a fantastic time.
The house manager Peter deserves a shout out also for being helpful from the start.

Great place for a large gathering of all ages, thank you.
Abergavenny has lots to offer and had a great vibe.
We loved this place! Full of character and quirkiness - some great hiding places for the kids and lovely large sitting and dining room for group gatherings. The hot tub is also a bonus, and lovely lawn for a game of boules. We were also blown away by Abergavenny - so beautiful, the market on Saturday morning was a great visit for all the family. Such a special weekend- thank you.

Really helpful staff when making the booking who responded very quickly to questions.

Great access to a variety of amenities.
Loved our stay at Fairlea Grange. We had the best time and lots of memories to cherish. Days out: Goytre Wharf, Sugar Load Vineyard
Jessica C - 08.05.23 9/10
We had a fantastic weekend! The house was so full of character and had everything you could need. The local town was really friendly and the house being walking distance to the shops, restaurants and train station was ideal - especially as you can fit so many in the house there's no need to faf about with multiple car loads/taxis. Also the views of the surrounding hills from all the upstairs windows were beautiful.
There were a couple of little things that we assume is just because of the age of the house but once we worked out were easy to work around.
Days out: We did the GoApe at Forest of Dean and just enjoyed exploring the local area
Fred H - 12.04.23 9/10
Hot tub is always a winner. Walking part of the Monmouth to Brecon canal trail. Also various walks in the area such as Sugar Loaf. The 'Big Pit' was great for kids, free admission!
Alan B 07.02.23 9/10
The house is such an adventure in itself, and very close to Abergavenny High St and lots of walking in the hills. More knobs on radiators for turning on/off would help, plus a tea-strainer. Days out: Sugar Load, Bloringe

The house was great - really excellent spaces for everyone, lovely features, and having the sauna and the hot tub was just a dream. Everyone really loved the house, and it’s in such a great location too. Our winter trip was lovely and warm - the heating was perfect. We enjoyed playing our own version of indoor bowls on the floorboards in the living room - the floorboards are warped to odd kind of perfection! While the main kitchen is slightly on the smaller side, this is more than made up for by having a second kitchen and the vast amount of equipment between the two. We've stayed in a few big houses, and one with so many large pans and so much equipment is rare. There are also 9 hobs, 3 ovens AND an aga, as well as 2 fridges. It really made it easy catering for a big group. We’re all very keen to come back! Days out: We enjoyed wandering around Abergavenny and the nearby parks, but we didn't venture very far.

Excellent facilities, nice and warm in the winter. Spacious and very well managed. No problems from us. Days out: Walks up the Blorenge!
Sue R 06.12.22 10/10
We loved that we could all eat together and sit together in the large lounge .
Days out: We didn't stay long enough to go anywhere other than the market and shopping
Jessica L 25.11.22 8/10
The house was clean and well equipped. Some of the showers were a bit hit and miss and the wifi only worked in one room. We had a great time, perfect property for a family get together.
Rachel M 19.11.22 7/10
We enjoyed the quirkiness of the house. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Easy to walk into town. Whilst accepting it is an old house the showers were problematic and some of the beds/mattresses could do with replacing. BHHL provided an efficient service with good communication. The introduction to the house was very thorough.
Days out: We walked on Sugarloaf but only there for 3nights for family get together.
Sam S - 2.11.22 - 9/10
Enjoyed the welcome and tour, the large living room spaces with plenty of seats as well as the hot tub and sauna. No room for improvment reallly.
Days out: Walk up sugar Loaf. Lazer tag at HS Activities (Hereford)

Overall a great experience. Easy to book great communication with yourselves and the priory manager. A great stay and hassle free. Days out: Plenty of castles around the are, great walks and also different markets in the town on each day to have a look around. Farmers market, flea market.

We loved the house, so much character and big enough for our party of 20 people. The area is residential and the house really stands out amongst the more recent houses. The hot tub was lovely, I'd recommend this house for get together, I can imagine Christmas there would be amazing! Peter net us to show us around and was so lovely. He also had lots of stories about the property which was really interesting. Thanks for a lovely stay :)
Alison D 25.09.22 10/10
Days out - enjoyed the food festival
Joe B 06.09.22 10/10
We really enjoyed the jacuzzi, sauna and games room, people had plenty of things to do. The TV and entertainment set up was also great. We also enjoyed Peters tour and introduction to the building, the history was fascinating! All round great experience, thanks for having us.

Such a quirky house!
So well equipped in the kitchen, it had everything.
Beds were super comfy, we just wish bedroom 7 was open as it would have suited us better but it couldn't be helped.
It was so hot in the house and we struggled to open some of the windows so it made it a bit stuffy in some of the rooms.
Christina Y 10.08.22 9/10
The sauna and hot tub were hugely enjoyed by many of our group. These are great features. It would be great if there could be a written explanation of the history of the house which we found very interesting.

Ellen B 07.03.22 10/10
We loved the garden, fire pit, and jacuzzi. The kitchen was well equipped for all of us. The beds were extremely clean and comfortable. The location was excellent. The only thing I can think of is a bin for glass.
Debbie G 01.01.22 10/10
We particularly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in the house. The huge size of the house meant everyone had space to be alone or mix with family. It was brilliant and suited all ages.
Shan O 20.10.21 10/10
Beautiful well equipped house that we all enjoyed immensely. I’m sure we’ll be back, We had a short 15minute walk into Abergavenny which was a lovely shopping centre .
Lorraine P 05.10.21 8/10
The space was fantastic and the kids enjoyed having the basement lounge to themselves! The hot tub was lovely, and the men enjoyed sitting around the firepit. The aga didn't seem to be up to temperature so we couldn't use it very much. But that's all! We will definitely use your company again, the property is fab. Thank you

The whole stay was perfect. An inventory could be useful as we really doubled up (the kitchen is so well stocked that I did not have use for my shaker and coffee cafetiere - there were available already. If being picky, the outside lighting could benefit a little fairy light/soft lights rather than the one big floodlight. Days out - Abergavenny vineyards, Forest of Dean, Puzzle Woods
Emma S 05.09.21 9/10
House fitted bill. Days out – Vineyard, Canal walks, Sugarloaf and Bloringe walks
Sharon F 28.08.21
Farleigh Grange was a brilliant place for our family of 20. So clean, comfortable and everything you could ask for in the way of utilities. Will definitely go back there. Days out - Barry Island, The place where you can kayak, There's a lovely pub there. Abergavenny Town centre
Talia O 10.08.21
The house is beautiful, and it has plenty of amenities. The hot tub was a highlight for everyone. Some parts of the house needed some maintenance - the curtains in our room were difficult to open/close, and certain showers got cold very quickly. Hay-On-Wye is about 40 minutes away & is beautiful. A walk along the Monmouthshire & Brecon canal is gorgeous too. Abergavenny town is lovely for a wander - the butchers/cheese shop was great.
