Outdoor activities are easy from our River Wye properties. River Wye Lodge is by a canoe launch and Hollytree House  is just up the lane from Canoe the Wye who transport you from their canoe hire centre in Symonds Yat West, up river for the start of your canoe trip and you paddle back to us.

The canoeing season runs from March through to October. During this period most canoe hire companies are open 7 days a week 8.30am – 5pm.
For canoeing trips down the Wye Valley choose from a half-day canoe hire, right up to a 7 day canoeing and camping adventure.

The River Wye is ideal for families, individuals, corporate days and large groups who want to hire a canoe at affordable, simple to understand prices. How long you will want to hire a canoe for will depend on how far upstream from Symonds Yat you go.

    This converted historic 18th Century Coaching Inn offers a wonderful outdoor space on the banks of the River Wye, with a nearby park and canoe launch and a short walk to local village amenities in Lydbrook. Indoors there’s more than enough space to sleep 26 in 12 bedrooms. 10 of the bedrooms have glorious views of the River Wye. The cottage has an accessibility ramp to the front door and the ground floor houses a wheelchair friendly twin room with an en-suite wet room.
